Inline with our promise to keep all our products modern and up-to-date, we started creating modern versions of our outdated themes, the latest being Resonance theme. We’ve made quite a number of update to the theme from overall appearance to adding additional page layouts and features as well as eliminate some outdated features.

Below are list of some of the updated features of Resonance theme.

1. Page Layouts

Each page layout has been fully redesigned to match the new look of resonance 2.0. The landing layouts now support section element as well as custom (built-in) content sections. A number of new layouts have been added and some old layouts removed.

2. E-Commerce

The cart has been redesigned and moved from the float header to top header, product element as well as products element have all been redesigned. Weebly product pages and checkout pages have also undergone major overhaul to match the new look.

3. Plugins

New content plugins have been installed, already installed plugins have been updated to conform with the new look of version 2.0. Some of the updated and newly installed plugins are:

Roller Content – Updated: Before now was only available on landing-3 layout, now available on landing-3 layout as well as ‘Roller Content’ page layout.
Milo Content -New: Available on landing-3 layout as well as ‘Milo Content’ layout.
Boxit Slider – New: Available on landing-3 layout as well as ‘Header Slider’ layout.
Testimonial Slider – New: Available on landing-3 layout.
Spotlight Portfolio – New: Available on spotlight portfolio layout.
Lingo Testimonials – New: Available on lingo testimonial page layout, makes it easy to showcase feedback you collect from customers/clients.
Accordion – Updated: Now looks better and easier to build.

Theme options for this content plugin have also been updated for ease of usage.

4. Theme Options

Theme options have been updated to have less options but still possess same fucctionality. For example, the options to show 2, 3, 4 or 5 features which were “toggle-based” in version 1 have been redesigned to use dropdown method. Making it less overwhelming and much easier.

Color scheme have also been updated. Some colors have been replaced by new colors based on popular demands.

5. Additional Tools:

Language Flags: This multi-lingual supported tool which was absent in version 1 is now part of version 2.0. You can create two websites in different languages and link them to each other using this awesome tool.
Header Call-to-action: We have eliminated the float header of version 1 and replace it with a more classy feature: Header CTA. This feature makes your phone number and social icons more accessible to your users.
Fixed Header: You’ll notice on the demo website of version 2 that header gets sticky as you scroll down.
Breadcrumbs: Now you can link inner (or hidden) pages to each other outside the main or footer navigation. Breadcrumbs makes it easy to create secondary navigation channels within your pages. Simply click to edit breadcrumb texts and then link it. There’s a theme option to turn off breadcrumbs.
Sidebars: On version 1, sidebars were hidden on mobile (smaller screen) devices. Version 2 has theme option that allows you to show or hide sidebars on mobile (smaller screens). By default, it’s hidden.
Elements: Weebly elements have also been redesigned to match the new look of version 2.0.

The updated theme will override any design changes you’ve made to the current theme (old version). Your contents might not be lost.
Nevertheless, we recommend that you backup your website before re-installing the theme.
